Advantages of a rainwater storage tank made of plastic
Easy to handle
Due to the low weight of Speidel cisterns and the carrying handles, the tanks are easy to handle and installation is possible even without heavy equipment. So you can even easily transport your cistern with a cargo bike! In case a crane is needed after all, our tanks have additional crane eyes.
Easy cleaning and clean water
Another advantage of the plastic tank is the low adhesion characteristic and thus easier cleaning. In comparison, concrete tanks have rough inner walls to which dirt can adhere more easily. There is also a risk that leaching of cement particles will contaminate the rainwater and, in the worst case, cause pump damage. Lime precipitates from the concrete of the cistern can also make the rainwater, which is actually low in lime, "hard" and thus shorten the life of your washing machine.
